Also, Wilson, let me remind you of the following (obviously not all from the Sopranos, or from NJ for that matter... but you get the idea): Adriana. Big Pussy. Luca Brasi. Fredo Corleone. Tommy DeVito.
Phil Leotardo was good too. And Matthew Bevilacqua. And everybody that Furio ever laid a ruthless hand on.
Also, you're beginning to frighten me. Good thing you live in California.
You can take the girl out of Jersey...
Anyway, The Godfather was the first book I ever read (by choice). I was 8 I think. I have a sick mafia obsession, er, I mean fascination.
I met Furio once. Well the actor that played Furio. He looks exactly the same IRL, but was a pretty funny guy. It didn't jive for me. He's Furio. Go kill someone. LOL Anyway, he autographed a picture of himself, Tony Soprano, & Paulie for my father. My dad has it framed in his office. ;)
You don't walk the plank in NJ. You just disappear. Forever.

See... the flame wars got you to post over there. Meh, nothing!

Well, it's still
kind of debatable as to whether he's dead. I mean, they never found the body or anything. In fact, retaliation from him and his crew was one of the early theories as to Tony's demise (And for the record, Tony's dead. Write it down. In ink.).
Incidentally, 'Pine Barrens' might be my favorite episode in the whole series. It's easily top 5.
Are we gonna need a 'Sopranos' thread? Because I could talk about this for a damn long time.

I never said The Russian was dead.
Or Tony, for that matter.
I'm all for a Sopranos thread but it may just be the two of us there.

Really? We're the only two Sopranos fans around here?
And what do you think came (or didn't come) of Tony in the finale?

Speaking of the pine barrens, did anybody ever see the movie The Last Broadcast? Much, much scarier than The Blair Witch Project for a handheld cheaply made horror movie full of unknowns.
The time is out of joint, O cursed spite!

I think Carmela left him and became a tv star & got her
own show as a nurse.

I've never had HBO, so I rarely saw The Supranos. I've seen occasional episodes on other networks in reruns, but not enough to remember or talk about.

Seriously, Ozzie, it's fucking brilliant. Like, the most brilliant TV I'm aware of in my lifetime. I'm currently re-watching the series On Demand, and it's even better the second time around. That, to me, is more a mark of greatness than anything else.
Do you do Netflix? If so, you should really give it a shot. Because did I mention that it's fucking brilliant?

Wilson, what did you think of the episode (sorry, I don't know episode names anymore) where Tony had the dream he was the salesman?

Well, it was more like about half (or even a little bit more) of the final season, but I think that in a nutshell, it was Tony's conscience. There were all kinds of subtle clues that Tony recognized by that point what kinds of horrid choices he'd made as a person, and that his soul kind of wanted to make right on some things. But of course, he never did; in fact, he went even further down the "bad person" road, what with the aftermath of his final-season car accident (I don't want to spoil anything for our readers who
will watch the show) and all. Basically, I saw the Kevin Finnerty interlude as Tony's wrestling match with the prospect of redemption, one he ultimately lost (or won, I guess, depending on your perspective...he chose against any shred of redemption).

You are correct. I had narrowed it down to those 2 options and could not retrieve the correct one from my distant memory banks.
Thanks.
