LTE 2.0

Re: LTE 2.0
About half a dozen fire trucks, two rescue trucks, and a chief's unit went past my house around an hour ago (mine is not a busy street). The temptation to follow them was great, but I thought better of ogling at someone else's misfortune and/or getting in the way. For a kid who grew up loving fire trucks as much as I did (slash do), though, responsible citizenship in such a moment isn't always easy.

Re: LTE 2.0
I hope whoever it is is okay.
We saw some police cars and fire trucks for a better (i.e. not sad) reason yesterday. They were supporting rolling thunder, and the ladder trucks were hanging a 30 foot American Flag from their extended ladders over the road for all the motorcycles to ride under. The cops were blocking intersections and letting the participants get through as a group. It was pretty impressive. They gather at the Harley dealership in Dumfries and over a thousand of them rode up to Washington together. They do it every year, and it's impressive. That dealership is just one of the many gathering points around the DC area.

It's a shame they closed the "whatever" thread on DBR, but I guess with all the PW's here, there was not much use for it any more.
It would be nice to announce my next post over yonder, though. It will be kind of a milestone...

Re: LTE 2.0
I took a look earlier, just for the fun of it, and to my surprise, there was a fossil lemur monkey thread.
Made me glad I'm here.
The other surprise was the amount of DUPLICATE/DUAL PW-ing going on.

I haven't looked at DBR since the end of April. On another note, I think my blood pressure has returned to normal.Lavabe wrote:I took a look earlier, just for the fun of it, and to my surprise, there was a fossil lemur monkey thread.

I don't think they have done much thread AND post deletion since their purging a couple months ago that led to CT.
But, one never knows...

Re: LTE 2.0
If anybody does care to lurk over there, I volunteered to watch 'Lost' from the beginning of Season 1 and post my synopses/reactions. The first post just went up. I have somehow managed to not follow that show or get 'spoiled'. I know almost nothing about it other than the general premise. I have watched exactly 2 episodes, the pilot and one other from, I think, the second season. How many season are there? 4?
The time is out of joint, O cursed spite!

If you are referring to me, dual pw-ing and being afraid, the answers are, in reverse order: a) I'm not afraid and b) "she" is a he. ;)bjornolf wrote:After the comments about dual pw-ing lately, she might be afraid to.

Oops, sorry, I misread Cathy's post. I thought she was encouraging Boston Devil to double post her Lost stuff. And I know you're a boy, DD. ;)
