Well, I bled today.

Post by EarlJam » July 29th, 2010, 10:42 pm

Thus ending one of the longest "bloodless" streaks I have ever had. And it was so silly. It never should have happened. I was purchasing supplies for an event we are having tomorrow. Outside, there was one of those "bubble gum" machines where, instead of gum, you get a cheap prize for a quarter. Well, I was in a mood. My "prize" was some kind of ring in a clear, hard plastic container. I could not open it, so I squeezed it so hard it litterally exploded in my hand...........my mighty and powerful, steel-like hand.

Anyway, I was laughing (on the inside) when I looked down to see blood trickling down my thumb. I was cut! A bleeder!

Wow, it's been a long time. Anyway, I washed it and it stopped pretty quickly. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY, tomorrow will start another long bloodless streak.

Best,

-EarlJam

Poor baby. But, you never told us what your prize was. Was it worth it?

What antiseptic did you use to wash your wound (perhaps this is a good poll question)?

I used urine, taken from the samples of Tamil Nadu women wearing the sari while squating over bowls of rice on the southern, tapered end of India!

Totally missed that the valuable ring was the dubious "prize". My bad. Hope you can get enough for it to pay for the expensive and exotic first aid treatments!

I would consult with one of the lawyers here. I'm sure there is a lawsuit that could be filed that would help ease your pain :D

Personal injury is not my cup of tea, but I would document the event, find out what company produced the ring and the plastic container, and google their business informaiton, finding out how deep their pockets are.

Man, you're lucky. I lose a little blood almost every day in some way or another, either tripping over one of my kids' toys, trying to fix one of said toys, fixing something around the house, or being attacked by one of the kids. I can't remember the last time I went a day without losing at least a little of me.
