Kelly isn't feeling well, she needs comfort food.

I'm making Hoppin' John. It was impromptu, which means I didn't have the time to soak the peas overnight so I went with canned black eyed peas. Forty minutes to go and we're in smoked hog, collard green heaven!

I made pork chops with a shallot, cherry, brandy reduction, garlicky broccoli, and Bavarian potato dumplings tonight.

It took us all day to realize that this was our tenth anniversary dinner tonight.

I had leftover baked chicken with rice and kimchi, baby had leftover pizza -- a first for her (pizza not the leftovers bit) -- she ate the WHOLE slice  and left the crust, just like her dad :twitch: . Husband ate at work :Boo: (End of project, project ships next Thurs -- he did this for the better part of 3-6 months each project at the last job, so I can live with this for 2 wks)

We met B's insurance agent at Jason's Deli. Split a pastrami. (no, Ozzie, not a GOOD pastrami, just an average one).

BBQ beef on rice, with collards, sliced carrots and corn. And a pickle. And a small piece of cornbread.

Leftovers from last night.

Carryout from Bobo Noodle House: pork spring rolls, grilled curried chicken with roasted chili peanut sauce and seared egg noodles, and spicy cucumber salad. This was my first experience with Bobo Noodle House; I cashed in a Groupon (didn't feel like cooking).
