Imaginary Friends I Have Met

Post by CathyCA » May 23rd, 2009, 9:43 pm

How many of your imaginary online friends have you met in person? I have always enjoyed meeting you guys.

I met another one of my imaginary online friends today. Clbunchofnumbers and I met Bjornolf at the park for a playdate with our kids.

I haven't met any of my CrazieTalk imaginary friends :(( :(( :((

Over on Kumquat, I met several - revealing their identities would probably get me banned....from here x_x

And of course, Cathy and I know each other from before we were imaginary, so, does that count?

I don't think I kept a scoresheet from Brunchgate, but Ibelieve the list includes:
devildeac TNTDevil CathyCA TillyGalore
DukePA DukePA's mom (is that IamDuke?)
CBaB
The other Crazies I have met include:
wilson EarlJam Shammrog throaty
Ozzie ArkieDukie DevilAlumna

Hmm... I need to get ILJ to post on this board. And what happened to ugadevil, the gordog, and killerleft?

Sue71 claims that we may know each other from WAY long ago (she worked at Duke with ILJ's sister).

Did you swap lawyer jokes?

I've met bunches of folks from here and DBR at bball games and brunchgates. I've met 3 people from when I was an online golf addict, and still stay in touch with those folks. (I'd still be playing, but I never painted since I was golfing all night)
The bunches of folks from here and DBR are...
EarlJam, CathyCA, clbunchanumbers, Ozzie, Devildeac, Lavabe and ILJ, DukePA, DukePA's Mom (IamDuke here), gordog, killerleft,AllenMurray, TNTdevil, TillyGalore, Knight68, StrayGator, Devil84. If I missed anybody I blame the beer. Some of those folks I'm looking forward to seeing again!

She has seen CTN, but I don't think she's posting here. It would be great if she did, it would be the second DBR mod we'd have as a member.

I intend to meet a bunch of you at Brunchgate for the Wake Forest football game this year, on Nov. 28 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving). I'll have finished my comps by then, and I'm planning a big odyssey of two weeks or so, to include the game.
I haven't decided what kind of food I'll make yet. ;)

Does this mean you're not coming to my Duke football party September 19th?

It doesn't necessarily mean that; I just know that I'll be coming to the Wake game, whereas I'm not yet sure whether I'll be able to make it to the Sept. 19 game. Not to worry, though, Tilly; I'm doing my best.
Side note: If I do make it up in September, I'm dressing like a pirate, because Sept. 19 is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Seriously.
