This just in. The annual Nathan's hot dog eating contest is over and Joey Chestnut claims the 2010 champeenship by consuming 54 wieners in 10 minutes, besting his nearest competitor by nine. He finished his last one as time ticked down and then proceeded to wash it down with a swig or two of Pepto.

The little grocery store around the corner has Oscar Mayer bun length weiners (giggle) for 98 cents a pack. I bought 5. I love holiday deals.

P.S....I'm going to eat them slowly.

Without Kobayashi there, he was totally slacking. His world record from last year was 68 I believe.

In the "you learn something new every day" category: When I read the article about his arrest, I learned that there is a MLE - Major League Eating. Who knew?

Have you seen him? If he gets any jail time whatsoever he'll get so many wieners that he'll shatter the world record in a no time at all.

I had a slight case of the munchies before reading this thread but now I am downright hungry. I think I'll exercise some self-control for once in my life and have a salad rather than something that isn't as good for you.
