Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
There's the lamp and the phone.....then all those pictures: an old one of my father still looking up at me from his chair, my two daughters' high school senior pics. Two funny, candid ones of each grandson as a baby and a favorite, very aged one of the old professor standing in an outfield, wearing shorts and looking verrrry hot while holding a softball and grinning. There is a can of beer on the ground at his feet. (that picture still turns me on and we're in our 70's.) A collection of poems by Mary Oliver, the Bose remote, hand cream and a small dish to hold my rings and earrings. It's inscribed "A faithful friend is a strong defense."

PS This is a most interesting thread...... almost as interesting as peeking into people's medicine cabinets. ;)

A 15 year old alarm clock.
A cordless phone.
A lamp.
A decorative boxie thingie with a painting of a lighthouse on it.
A stack of books about 18 inches high.
The clicker.
Too much dust.

The basket makes them more easily accessible. Though the boys are getting old enough we really need to get a locking box, since "Stay out of Mommy and Daddy's room" will only work for so long.CathyCA wrote:You don't keep them in the drawer?gadzooks wrote: Basket of marital aids

My nightstand is very uninteresting. A clock, bottle of water, books.

You need to get a locking door, too ;) .gadzooks wrote:The basket makes them more easily accessible. Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
I couldn't help but notice that there are folks that have some old-ass clocks on their night stands. (I am one of 'em.... mine is like 15 yrs old). Is it simple complancency (it if ain't broke don't fix it) or what? Guess we're just in that exclusive club
Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
I had considered it for like a second, but then thought the more safer way to go would be to ask whats on TOP of the nightstand versus IN. Besides, I'd rather learn someone is keeping an old clock ON the night stand than an old Cock IN the night standOZZIE4DUKE wrote: I'm just glad that you didn't ask what was INSIDE the drawers of my night stand, 'cause I ain't gonna tell!

I am glad the question was not, "What's IN your nightstand?"
