Worst two days of work ever

Post by DukeUsul » April 9th, 2010, 10:34 pm

I was called into an emergency at work (as much as doing IT stuff for the government can be considered an emergency) yesterday at 10 am.

I've been working non-stop since 10am yesterday on this. Worked til 12:30 last night. Woke up at 6:30 and started working. Took a small break each night to put Katie to bed.

This shit sucks. I hate cleaning up after other people's messes and having it affect my time at home. But at least I'll get some kudos from my customer to put in my performance eval.

You are a good dad to carve out time for your daughter.

I feel your pain...as an IT geek I've LIVED your pain...more often than I care to remember. Hope the fire is out and you can enjoy your weekend!

You and me both Dave. Sorry that you're going through it but I'm sure you'll appreciate it once you're on the other side. Everything would be so much easier if weren't for other people. ;-)
