I wonder where G was last night?

Can't help but feel just a little sad that he wasn't with everybody in this win.

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

My wife and I discussed this during our walk tonight after we returned to Raleigh. I hope G is happy because we sure are with the final outcome for the season.

Back at the beginning of the Final Four, one of the ESPN analysts asked us to imagine how good this team would have been with Gerald Henderson and Elliot Williams. So, obviously we weren't the only ones thinking about this. :D

I can't help but wonder if the reason Duke won is because G wasn't there. (Sacrilege, I know, but I never even wondered where G was last night, or if his presence would have affected the outcome of the tournament.)

He's gone. We won. I'm quite happy. Next play.
I'd love to see Kyle stay if that's the best scenario for him. I think it would be great for the team and Duke. If he does, we'll be a favorite for next year. If he leaves, we re-build/re-load for 2012.

Must admit that G was never on my mind for a minute during the whole tourney. It was just in reflecting on the great job our boys did that I began to wonder if he was feeling just a little sad being left out of it all. In my wildest dreams I wish that he could somehow get to Kyle and tell him not to rush out into the big old tough world because this is the time of his life and he'll be a workin' stiff for a long, long time once he takes that step. I guess it's just the grandmother in me. I wish they could all just stay in this cocoon and be cared for forever. :ymhug:
