Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
Congratulations, guys, all the hard work paid off. And congratulations to Butler for playing an amazing game, too.
And now we add 2010!

We did it, we really did it!
Re: Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
I am delighted that Duke won...that goes without saying...but I am pleased that Butler proved to be a worthy opponent. The Bulldogs played with poise and class and without the ongoing smirks that both Baylor and West Virginia had on their thug-like mugs during the game. I, for one, have a great deal of respect for Butler and their coach and we'll hear more from them in the future. It was indeed a "championship" game.

Got up this morning (very short on sleep I might add) and we are still NATIONAL FREAKIN' CHAMPIONS.
One of my fav. quotes from the post game presser:
asking Kyle about his shooting in Indy vs. Houston
'you shot so poorly there...and so well here. They are both domed stadiums. What do you think the difference was in shooting betweein Indy and Houston"
Kyle: "The ball went in"

I loved the exchange between K and Zoubs. A reporter asked Z about his "up and down career" and K reprimanded the reporter, saying that's not fair due to his injuries. Then he said something to the effect of "besides, Brian can't go up and down".windsor wrote: One of my fav. quotes from the post game presser:

What an amazing group of young men! I couldn't be more proud of this team and this National Championship. Butler proved to be one heckuva tough, poised, and classy team. Brad Stevens has found a new fan in me, but Coach K is still my man!
Congratulations Devils, you earned it!

I laughed during their exchange. This team really was like a family - from top to bottom.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I loved the exchange between K and Zoubs. Yeah, we can't win those.Miles wrote:I said this in Section 21 last night, but this was our biggest road game ever. EVER!
Topics to be Retired after last night:
1) Wojo can't coach big men;
2) Duke can't win away from Cameron;
3) K needs to rotate his players more and develop a bench;
4) K needs to play Zoubek more;
5) What will we do without JOHN WALL;
6) Given that EWill and TKing transferred, something's wrong with K's recruiting;
7) The Crazies just aren't that inventive anymore;
8) This is K's last year;
9) Ol' Roy needs one more NCAA to catch K.
2014, 2011, and 2009 Lemur Loving CTN NASCAR Champ. No lasers were used to win these titles.

You are correct Tilly - he has 2...which is why we can retire "Ol' Roy needs one more..." after last night, and replace it with "Ol' Roy needs TWO more"

Yes he has two. But the statement above needs to be retired.... in favor of "Ol' Roy needs two more NCAAs to catch K"TillyGalore wrote:I thought Ol' Roy only had 2, did he win one a Kansas?Lavabe wrote:9) Ol' Roy needs one more NCAA to catch K.
