Our son, Jake, got the contract with Royal Caribbean. He's building a "drive-in theater" for one of the decks of a new ship. Of course, he will be using cars to make the furniture. We are so proud of him. He has worked a long time to get where he is today.

Are Dell computers good anymore?

No.

When did they get worse, and why?

Let me put it this way. Dell keeps our computer repair shop in business. Not because they've sold that many computers, but because they've had that many problems. They did used to be a good company, I used to recommend them. But around the time that dude started telling you to get a Dell, they tanked.

LOL!!! I talked to Jake a bit ago on Facebook, he said he just got the down payment...he said he feels "like I shit a watermelon"..LOL!!

Ralph's is hardly an upscale grocery store for California, . Everything in Cali, especially South Cali, is just fancy and pretentious. ;)

Good Morning! Drinking my also! As for whether this grocery store was upscale or not, guess I'm just too old school. How much fancier can you get with a grocery store than a Harris Teeter or a bloom (aka food lion) gourmet store? I guess I just don't get out much! Now that I think of it, Cathy, her son and myself went to a whole foods (or something like that) in Fairlakes (out in Centreville) and that place had food bars of everykind, alot of fancier stuff in it... it was kind of overwhelming and one could spend the entire day in that store... guess that is the marketing trick!

You ever go to Wegman's? Talk about snooty mcsnootersons.

Pick on Wegman's all you want. We've price compared. They're cheaper than Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, and even Walmart on MOST food items (I haven't priced all the pots and pans and toys and tools and whatnot).

Toaster oven, definitely. Can't cook pizza or bake cookies in a toaster.

I had a pastrami sandwich for lunch. Bought it in the cafeteria, but it was from a kosher deli whose name escapes me. It was pretty good. Definitely better than the typical cafeteria fare.

I think they are pain in the ass to use, and you can get a virus. For as much as they cost, I don't get it. Lots will say "yeah but I can get a used one for a few hundred bucks". True...and you can get a used pc for only a hundred. If someone can actually justify the expense of more than a $1000 for a new computer to me, I'm all ears. But it has to be worth it, meaning that it has to be able to do something that my PC can't. And whatever that "can't" is, it actually has to be useful to me. Like, $1k useful.

Actually I do know, because I've done it. If you hit submit twice, it will post twice. It's easy to do if your first submittal loads slow.
