What are you doing for St. Patrick's Day?

Post by DukeUsul » March 17th, 2010, 11:50 am

I'm doing nothing. I'm Irish on the inside. So everything I do celebrates St. Patty's day.

I have been keeping my eyes open for leprechauns. Haven't seen any yet.

Nothing planned. Maybe I'll go to Cracker Barrel for dinner and get their corned beef and cabbage plate. Had that a couple of years ago and it was very good. Hope they have it on the menu this month.

I don't care about the leprechaun. I just want his pot of gold.

If you would take that brown hoodie off and put on a green one, we could all quit pinching you.

I had a delicious lunch featuring corned beef, braised cabbage, roasted potatoes and apple wedges. The dessert was a slice of cake which combined a layer of green mint cream, a layer of chocolate mousse and some dark chocolate to hold it all together.

I don't have any Irish Whiskey at home at the moment. I do have Scotch, but it seems kind of insulting to drink on St. Pat's day. I think I'll crack a Guinness.

Do midgets call in sick on St. Patty's day more than other days?

It's been a rough week. Maybe I should make myself an Irish Car Bomb to drink tonight.
