WHAT?

No trip to the Carnegie Deli? Shameful, simply shameful...
:(( :((
Or at least Katz's Deli, since it's closer to Wall St. :D
Good point.

So to conclude for tonight, I think I must have missed some flipping between the games.... but I came back to hear the following 10 singers do their thing:
Casey, Lacy, Andrew, Katie, Tim, Siobhan, Lee, Paige, Aaron, & Crystal. (think I might have missed the first 2 before Casey, there are 12 left, right?)

My Summary take of who I heard:
- Casey not bad;
- Lacy, not bad;
- Andrew ROCKED!;
- Katie - was okay, had a lil Carrie Underwood sound!
- Tim had a reggae thing going on, I liked it;
- Siobhan almost sounded like she was yelling;
- Lee, not bad!;
- Paige, she was okay;
- Aaron, He sounded like a girl until I watched him sing it;
- Crystal - not bad.

Conclusion (out of the 10 above):
- Possibly Katie or Aaron, but I think Siobhan will go.

My Summary take of who I heard:
- Casey not bad;
- Lacy, not bad;
- Andrew ROCKED!;
- Katie - was okay, had a lil Carrie Underwood sound!
- Tim had a reggae thing going on, I liked it;
- Siobhan almost sounded like she was yelling;

So says Bones.

On the other hand, Tim's reggae sound was odd. This was STONES' night, and his reggae sound would have been patently offensive to a STONES' fan, if it wasn't for the fact that he was trying to sound a little Dean Martin-esque. It was perhaps the weirdest performance of the night.
That is, until Siobahn sang. Now THAT was WACK!! "ALMOST sounded like she was yelling?" No, she was frickin' SCREAMING. %-( %-( It was a love or hate kind of performance. ALL of the judges praised her, but Simon nailed it when he said that people were going to either love it or hate it. It was Adam Lambert-esque; as brazen as Adam's version of Johnny Cash's RING OF FIRE.

Michael led off, and did an odd, but decent version of the STONES' disco hit, MISS YOU. Voice and stage presence was okay.
DIDI is bizarre, but is starting to find her place in the competition. She was pitchy in some spots, but at other times, she had a nice voice. She sang "Play with FI-YUHR" (that's "fire," sung with two syllables).
Katie just needs to avoid singing anything with low volume and low notes. As soon as she sings higher volume, she has a good voice. At least Carrie Underwood can sing without that issue.
Casey may have hit the genre he can perform... southern rock/blues.
Andrew is still not nailing it, but should advance. His version of GIMME SHELTER did nothing for me.
Lacy: ICK, ICK, ICK... well, at least for the stuff that was low tone, low volume.

What a shame Lily was eliminated last week, as I thought for sure she could do the DEVO version of SATISFACTION! =)) :)) :twitch:

If I had to eliminate anyone, it would come down to Tim or Paige. I normally like Siobahn, but last night made me dislike her, so she might go as well, depending on the reaction to that song version.

It's beautiful in Kenansville today. Great day for yard work. Really, a great day for anything outside.
