EarlJam's BoonNation Bracket Challenge

Post by EarlJam » March 15th, 2010, 3:32 pm

Years ago, I ran a Web site dedicated to March Madness and the bracket challenge. Some of you may remember it. It was called BoonNation, and it was my baby.

Well, this year, I'm doing another pool. It's not BoonNation in the traditional sense, but I'm running one on FOX Sports: http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/colleg ... /index.asp

The Group name is EarlJam's BoonNation. The password is:

craziehoop

Everyone feel free to play! No fee, unless you all think we should have one. But the winner still gets a beautiful certificate for winning (it IS beautiful...um, trust me). And last place, of course, gets the traditional Mentos and Coke (a tradition dating back to 1997).

Join one, join all! Tell your friends! And you may e-mail me personally at danbboon32@yahoo.com. Looking forward to it!

Are you using FOX over ESPN or Yahoo because they are sponsored by Hooters? :D

I like to say that they are "supported" by Hooters! But that's all tit for tat.

OMG--there are people on Facebook who are still talking about THE SHOT, and wanting to avenge it.

I don't have any brackets/pools. Too much stress.

The twists and turns we witnessed during the regular season were hints of what this tournament would be like. I'm just enjoying watching the surprises and upsets. I'm also looking forward to seeing Duke join the fray. Today's N&O blog about Duke in Jacksonville is very encouraging about the mental attitude this team has going into the first round. Soft is not a a descriptive term for this team! ;;)

No doubt from Lexington. There are a LOT of folks here who fit that description.

I know hoops.

My kids tell me that they're the only kids they know whose mom knows more about basketball than their dad.

I'm also lucky that my mistake in picking Georgetown to win more than one game was a universal mistake shared by so many others in the pool.

I'm in 5th place in Kenny Dennard's pool. I'm even ahead of the Big Dog himself!
