Some group named PEARLJAM is on SNL tonight. Anyone ever hear of them? ;)

My entertainment for the evening was scanning my old elementary school group pictures, uploading them into Facebook, and tagging them. I did pretty darn well at tagging. My mom always seemed to give me really bad haircuts on the night before group pictures were taken. I have no bangs in my 4th grade picture.

Also true in the first grade picture, but that's counteracted by the fact that my front teeth are missing.

Most of the skits I saw were stupid, but "Really??!" with Seth Meyers and Jerry Seinfeld was hilarious. The Twilight Zone spoof was pretty good, but the 3 seconds the gremlin shared with Pearl Jam had us roaring in laughter.

Yes, I think the REALLY sketch might be one of those sketches that make it in future highlight shows.

I loathe Len Elmore's coverage of Duke games.

But his piece on head injuries at the end of today's SPORTS REPORTERS was spot on.

I just received what I consider a ballsy email from a future student. Our students are allowed to request an elective for one of their surgery rotations. About a month prior to the start of the clerkship I send out a preference form for them to complete and return. My next group doesn't start until mid-June so I'm 2 months away from sending out the forms, and I've already received an email from a student recognizing the process but asking for her preference nevertheless.

Part of me wants to chastise her for her email. But, after a day or two, I'll respond that requests are honored on a first come first basis. I will remember her name as she could turn out to be a problem child.

Our weekend is winding down. We're in Kenansville and going to watch the the game with Desert Duke. Then, we're off the Efland. Tomorrow is physical therapy for both of us. Tuesday, back to Kenansville to pack "stuff" and work on the yard. Whee, how did I ever have time to work?
