Had a GREAT day on the slopes from 830 AM to almost 315 PM with my favorite ski buddy. We were joined for the day by rmd who drove all the way from Denver to carve some turns, tell some tales and trade some brews. Mrs. DD was at first very leery about skiing with some "creepy" person we did not know from the internet. Then I reminded her of all our former "imaginary" friends who are now our real/good friends here ;) . After rmd headed back to Denver, she remarked that he was a very nice young man and was glad we could spend the day with a young adult when none of our children could join us.

I have to wonder how rmd may have felt planning a ski day with a couple old geezers he didn't know either.

Just got home, fed the dog, and have crashed on the couch. Dinner is in my future, but that's a distant future.

Great day at Vail. The weather was perfect and the DDs and myself were able to cover a lot of terrain. Definitely a good way to meet some CTNers. And the beer trade was top notch

Wonderful day today with 4" fresh powder and about 6 hours of skiing. Only bad thing is a bit of swelling and tenderness in Mrs. DD's knee. Temps were under 40 and there were snow showers intermittently. Lectures were/t too bad either ;) .

I'm glad you two are having soo much fun! Ya need to tell me how this Bidness convention thing works ... I have to go to Palm Springs, CA at the end of the month for a week for a conference. I don't ski, but I hear there is no snow there!

I am sorry Mrs. DD is laid up with hurt ankle, but glad she is getting better! Do you have any pics? Let's match them up to Oz's knee, I bet he wins by a MILE!!!!! Plus, looking at Mrs. DD's ankle will make the memory of Oz's knee A LOT easier to erase!!!!

It's her knee and she's not let it affect her skiing much at all. She's a real trooper. She has had a bit of swelling from overuse the last 3 days on the slopes but an ace wrap, ice and advil has helped. Resting the next few days will help, too.
