Actually, I like them both! My folks neighbors gave them some fresh dates they got at an international food market, they melted in your mouth! Figs are delicious.... have a fig tree down at the river house! Can't wait for them to produce this year!

I loved flying from Paris to Bergamo, Italy. They served both, fresh! Not to mention a cheese plate and a glass of wine.

My grandmother always made this treat for holidays, and I still LOVE IT!!!
Take some pitted dried dates. Put a dollop of peanut butter in them. Roll in sugar.
Eat!
