Happy Spanarkel Day!
No, it's not Jimmy's birthday (that would be June 28th), but it IS ILJ's!
Happy Birthday ILJ!!

Oh, and by the way, what ILJ would REALLY like for her birthday is for Jimmy's number 34 to be retired at CIS. ;)

Re: Happy Spanarkel Day!
Unforunately, ILJ won't be responding today. She wound up getting a case of strep throat on her birthday.

The last time I really, really remember being sick was with strep..that was almost 20 years ago. I've been sick since then, but strep was pure misery.

Re: Happy Spanarkel Day!
Belatedly happy birthday ILJ! Hope you're feeling better today.
Yesterday was also a childhood friend's birthday, as is today (they lived next door to each other, strickly by coincidence). Today is also my mom's 80th, so it's easy for me to remember all these February birthdays! And oh yeah, today is the day John Glenn rode the Mercury Friendship 7 into 3 orbits of the earth way back when!

BUMMER!!
She didn't respond to the first round of antibiotics. She had another round yesterday, and may feel well enough to respond today.

Re: Happy Spanarkel Day!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes, both birthday and get well. I loved all the cool emoticons!! But I REALLY loved the title of the thread. Thanks sweetie.
I have to say that this weekend stunk big time. Not only did I lie in bed from Thurs evening through Sat afternoon (except for doctor visits), but I was unable to travel to NC for my sister's (not the DD one) special birthday that my other sister (yes, the DD one) and I had been planning for months. The party went on and I attended in spirit and for a few minutes by speaker cell phone, so that was good at least. Then the real kicker, at least for this board, was that DD's and my sister's bball-ticket-connection was able to find a couple of tickets for tonight's game. I would have been able to go see Duke play in Cameron for the first time since the 80s (I think) AND I would have seen Claire cheering in Cameron in person. So, worst case scenario all the way around.
But I am feeling better and can swallow with only some pain left. I can breathe again too!
Thanks again for the birthday greetings. It lifted my Sunday!
