I voted for Z for his 2 outbursts: 1 in the 1st half with 6 points, tied with Kyle; the other for his 2-3 steals and hustle as we came out with some tough D to start the 2nd half. Kyle gets my MOTM vote for the only guy to show up for both halves.

Tough choice between Zoubs and Nolan. He was off offensively in the first half but more then made up for it in the second. Plus I noticed numerous occasions when, regardless of who he was supposed to cover, he made sure to take the man with the ball. He even waved Scheyer off a few times. He brought it in the second half.

I voted for Kelly.
Not many minutes but, he did make two, abso-freaking-lutely, beautiful passes to the post resulting in four points, in the first half, which kept us "in touch".
Pretty thin I realize but, he's the only person on the perimeter who can actually seem to feed the post reliably. That's something that is sorely lacking with our team right now.

Brian Motherfuckin' Zoubek turned in another sterling performance tonight. In terms of active involvement in all phases of the game, this might have been an even better game for him than Saturday. I also loved that he got some deserved props from the TV guys.
For the analysts to have said--with a straight face--that Zoub and Kyle kept us in it in the first half was, I think, encouraging. I still get the distinct feeling that this team has yet to play a really complete overall game.
There were also a couple of "lightbulb" moments (to borrow a phrase from the announcers) for Mason, specifically a couple of nifty finishing plays on offense. Miles had a tasty oop from Smitty, too.

Couldn't deny my first reaction...went with Zoubs.

I agree. "Zouberman" turned in another proud performance, but this thread is s'posed to be about the guy who did important things nobody noticed. That was Kelly. He's done it before and he'll do it lots more, I'm thinkin'.TNTDevil wrote:I voted for Kelly.

I voted for Zoubs because he did all of the important things. He did have some nice stats in the box score, but he did lots that didn't show up in print as well (great defense, great passing, nice movement). It was nice seeing Kelly out there, but he wasn't in quite long enough for my consideration.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:I agree. You're right, CB&B. All those great screens Z sets don't show up anywhere in the box score either.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I voted for Zoubs because he did all of the important things. I can't go with Zoubek, not because he's unworthy I just think his performance was a lot bigger than the BeDeviler award. For me it was a toss up between Mason and Ryan. Ryan had some sweet touches in the game and we got a nice glimpse of what he can bring to the team. Hopefully he continues to give us valuable minutes off the bench. Mason much of the same. I felt like he's able to contribute while our big three were still finding the game.
Either way, it was one helluva of a second half adjustment and much like bjonolf said in another post, I think it was clutch win.
