Nolan Smith will return in the backcourt, as will Andre Dawkins. Joining them will be joined by Seth Curry, who could be terrific, and 6-foot-1 point guard Kyrie Irving, the No. 2 recruit overall in the country.
Whew, that’s strong.

Mason Plumlee will be a sophomore and has a chance to be a star. If Kyle Singler returns, and you’d expect him to, then Singler and Plumlee will lead a front court that will be joined by Miles Plumlee, Ryan Kelly and incoming freshman Josh Hairston, a 6-8 power forward.

An Irving-Smith-Curry-Singler-Mason Plumlee lineup would be quick and explosive but small. Shift Miles Plumlee or Hairston in for one of those guards and you have a more stout look.

Either way, Duke looks much more imposing than Carolina next season.
Oh, and then there’s one more reason next season could have a dark blue tint.
Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski enters this weekend with 853 wins.
By next year, he could should pass Adolph Rupp (876) ... and Dean Smith (879).

Sure would be nice to have Kyle stay for his senior year and have him instead of the uber-frosh, "Skype" barnes. This Felix kid sounds like he would make a very nice addition as a larger wing player.
;) :D

In my opinion, the single largest reason HB opted for the heels is because he took an intelligent look at next year's Duke roster and realized that he'd be a cog in a very, very good machine, rather than the feature guy in a carolina system that admittedly is probably better suited for him anyway, especially if he wants to get to the NBA quickly.
We're gonna be fucking filthy next year. :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

Partly true I think. If Singler leaves, barnes would be a major talent on the team. The real reasons he "skyped" the 'holes are probably as follows, in no particular order:

1. His mamma idolizes the gambling, philandering jordan.
2. His middle name is apparently jordan.
3. They paraded jordan next to/around the family on his OV.
4. They convinced him K was a liar and would "chain" him to the 4 spot next year, just as we did to Kyle.
5. They got E. Williams to recruit against us re: his transfer.
6. He actually believed the trash ginyard spouted off to a reporter last summer that we had a bunch of dirty players.
7. They have a "business" major at unc and we do not.
This stuff comes from a variety of sources. One source, who knows the assistants well, also shared that barnes "verballed" at the end of his OV to Duke and confirmed it the next day. Who do you think the liar is in this saga?

Woulda been nice to have him, but I'll take a senior Singler (hopefully) and another wing player who can shut his ass down next season. I'll wish him a McRoberts-like college career. Only shorter.
