Hope everyone is safe and warm.
Hope you have a nice mug of hot chocolate or coffee for him.

Prolly about 4 inches of snow overnight in Ral-lee and sleet falling now. Mrs. DD treated me to Belgian :waffle: :waffle: this AM and I concocted my own latte to accompany them.

I've thought the same thing. While I understand the need to keep the public up to date on the storm, we also need a break from constant coverage. I think we should flood WRAL with phone calls if they don't show the game.

And now the front pics. Cars, well 4X4 trucks and SUVs are moving. And apparently dogs too! BTW, that is the guy who helped us move the sofa on Thursday night!

Coffee and swedish pancakes (plättar) for breakast. Then out to shovel. An inch of slush topped by 3-4 inches of snow. Sleet has been coming down pretty good all morning. Almost none of my neighbors are out shoveling. They must think it'll be no big deal to shovel all this snow with an inch of frozen sleet on top of it. They'll learn.

This is my least favorite kind of weather. I think I'll send Stevo to Harrika's Brew House to pick up a couple of growlers of whatever specialty brew they have on tap. BEER!

This is all the snow we got. Plus the sleet. This combination did not make good snowballs. They just wouldn't pack.

After I took these pictures, we got freezing rain. My river oak tree (behind the garage) looks beautiful with all of the icicles dripping from it. I'll try to get pictures of it tomorrow morning.

Believe it or not, that's more than we got in St. Louis. My parents in NW AR got 8 inches, though.

It's still snowing. It's a very light snow. No rain or sleet mixed with the snow.

The sun is melting some snow, but with a high of 32, it's doubtful the side roads are going to clear much. Our street here is a mass of packed snow and ice.

Durham schools have already announced being closed tomorrow, which means our daycare will be closed. Guess it's going to be a three-day weekend! High tomorrow should be around 40 or so, so hopefully more roads will melt.
