Anyone ever use an au pair?

Post by DukeUsul » January 28th, 2010, 3:21 pm

With the future arrival of a second BabyUsul at some undetermined date (no we're not expecting, but we expect to be expecting sometime in the future), we're thinking about childcare options. I have a friend who recently brought on an au pair. I'm reaching out to him to find out how that's working for him.

I'm curious if anyone here ever had an au pair in their home before.

My daughter's former roommate, who also got her degree in Childcare, Birth-Kindergarten at Appalachian, became a nanny rather than teaching. In fact, she will be taking care of Ruth (as well as the other family's kids she works full time for) when my daughter goes back to work in April. If you want, I'll hook you up with her and you can ask her questions.
Your paradigm of optimism
