And what's the deal with her support of Wake? is there ANY reasoning behind that?
She did not go to carolina. She went to Wingate (south of Charlotte), where she played tennis. And she says she just likes Wake, basically because they're the Little Engine that Does.
If this is Sunday it must mean one thing:
Wake visits Duke.

In other words, Round 1 of the wilson experiment.

I'm not worried about it at all. I had to inform her this morning that the heels lost yesterday and have now dropped three of four. As far as I'm concerned, she's eminently convertable, if it should indeed come to that.

Oh, and I found out the other night that the biggest reason why she likes Wake is because her grandfather played basketball there. Totally excusable...and hey, if I can abide my brother choosing the Deacs over the Devils, then I can accept her choice, too.

Thanks for the clarification. DEFINITELY excusable for your romantic interest.
No excuse for your brother. ;)

We'll give her that one. She sounds like a winner, wilson, and deepest congratulations to you on all the good stuff that's going on for you these days. Also, best of luck on convincing her on the error of her ways with regard to the icky blue folks.

She certainly is a winner. One of the things I like most about her right now relates to my cooking. I've of course cooked for a number of women before, and they were always complimentary, but it often seemed as if they didn't quite get it...didn't recognize that my cooking for someone is a gesture that goes far beyond the simple preparation of something to eat. More than the others, she truly appreciates my cooking and its symbolic significance, and I in turn really appreciate her appreciation. We discussed this over a post-church brunch of sausage, eggs, home fries, and fresh oranges.
Incidentally, she came to church with me this morning, where she experienced one of my Sunday School lessons and met my mother. Coupled with the fact that I've been going there all of my life, it could have been something of an intimidating experience, but she really took it in stride, and afterward, she told me without prompting that she wanted to come back. Things are indeed good. :D
