Duke Vs. Clemson
Ahhhh...finally! The beginning of the ACC schedule..wooohooo!
It's pretty much a consensus agreement that Duke is the best looking team in the ACC right now, but it's the ACC and once conference play begins anything can happen. Clemson is coming in to CIS ranked, with some good wins...and one ungawdly choke. Since it happened during the Big 10 Challenge, and we didn't play like we should have either, I'm discounting those games as side effects from a strange alignment of the planets.

Wake sucks. A lot. Fuggin second OT, and over 10 minutes of Duke game played.

Re: Duke Vs. Clemson
The guys looked great. MP1 and 2 really impressed me tonight. I was harsh on MP2 last game, even though he had a solid outing, I didn't expect to see him do as well, but instead he continued to improve. Nolan was excellent, Kyle was hungry, and Jon was Jon. I was really impressed at how fast we looked, and at how well we spread the floor. Thanks for visiting Clemson.

Sorry coach...but hearing you say "Jesus Christ" into the mic was a bit too funny.

Re: Duke Vs. Clemson
Here is what I posted on the front page blog. I need an editor until EJ wakes up. And Wilson...he's asleep too.
When you are the visiting team in Cameron Indoor Stadium, and finish your first half with a total of 12 points, your day is not going to end well. To their credit, the Clemson Tigers started the second half with almost more points than they scored in all of the first, but the Blue Devils regrouped and took care of the game. Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith didn't skip a beat as they both had 22 points, although they also each had 3 turnovers.
Kyle Singler might be the story though, scoring 18 points with 8 rebounds, he never looked anything less than hungry while on the court. Whether he was playing with something to prove, or just playing like he knew he could, it doesn't matter. He showed he is ready for the ACC and he is the same player that he was last year. Inside, outside, free throws...he was there, scoring, and making opportunities for himself and his teamates.
Miles Plumlee was impressive as well as his brother, Mason. Neither scored in double digits, but you can hang an MP tandem on the reason Clemson scored only 12 points in the first. With some inside help from Brian Zoubek and Lance Thomas, the Blue Devils' post defense was a brick wall. Unfortunately that wall cracked in the beginning of the second half; all of Clemson's points were on drives inside or from free throws due to fouls as they drove. The crack was sealed within a few minutes, however, and the game was left up to Clemson's outside hopes. They struggled from beyond the arc, going 3 for 16. Hard to win when you have to play from outside only.

That was so NOT a block by Zoubs in the 2nd half. Should've been a charge on the Clemson player.
A great game by our guys. Smith continues to look great.

Srsly. When they ended the first OT still tied, I uttered a few choice words I shouldn't be saying in front of the children.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Wake sucks. A lot. Fuggin second OT, and over 10 minutes of Duke game played.
Clemson really woke up at the start of the second half. Made me a little nervous, until Coach rallied the troops.
