Trivial but Neato "Traditions"

Earlier today, I strolled down to my friendly Bank of America to deposit a check. While at the window, I a basket of lollipops (or suckers as we used to call them) caught my eyes. Now, this was certainly not a new discovery, but the impression it made on me was. "How cool," I thought. Ever since I was a kid I would actually look forward to going to the bank with mom or dad because I knew I would get a sucker or some Chiclets.

With this childhood memory brought freshly to life, I reached into the basket and grabbed a green sucker. I peeled of the clear wrapper (same as 30+ years ago), and enjoyed this banking treat. I'm not sure why Ive never thought of it before, but what a cool American "tradition" - if you can call it that. Banks and candy going hand-in-hand.

Can anyone else relate here? Any other similar "traditions" that perhaps we overlook as the years go by? I throw it out to you for consideration.

Wow! My debit card was used for fraudulent charges so I had to get a new one order. I went into the bank last week to withdraw some cash and I too grabbed a green sucker!!! They are awesome and I was so stoked that I went in.

I was at the bank today and was happy to see the lollipops have been replaced with candy canes. You are sooo right, I've always grabbed the lollipop ever since going with my mom as a kid. It's hard to think of overlooked traditions until we actually recognize them as such. So I'm gonna rack my brain and think of at least one.
