Matt Damon doesn't get the girl in either Jersey Girl or Chasing Amy, so they don't count. If you're not doing the kissing, you're not the star.

And the reason I'd like to see Matt Damon in a Rom/Com is because of The Bourne Identity. My all time favorite movie kiss is from The Bourne Identity. I even put my feelings about that kiss into my play Thanksgiving When You're Dating Matt Damon.

Hanks - Saving Private Ryan, Apollo 13

Gibson - Rom/Coms Maverick, Bird on a Wire, What Women Want, and as we have established before, all the Lethal Weapon movies, ;)
Six Days, Seven Nights was pretty bad.

I'll give you Saving Private Ryan, but Apollo 13 isn't REALLY an action movie. It's more of a drama in my book.

And I'll give you Gibson, Maverick was awesome.

I think Jason Statham from the Transporter movies is hot.

I need to find some more of his movies to see if this holds true. I've only seen the ads for the Transporter movies and most of Transporter 2.

Oh, and @DevilAlumna: I am taking a weekend long diving class next weekend... Apparently I have to read a pretty long book about it that I have yet to start! x_x Any tips on the class itself?

I think we (My college roommates daughter and I) are going to be doing most of the dives with instructors during our sailing trip.

I don't have time to recall how to embed a video here. I've done it before, but it takes too much time.

Anywho, go look at COUGAR BARBIE: http://www.break.com/usercontent/2009/2 ... 76945.html

He was good in "Snatch", "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", "The Italian Job", "The Bank Job", both "Crank" movies, and "Revolver".

"War" wasn't TOO bad, if you like Jet Li and don't care about acting. It's a decent popcorn movie.

I actually kind of liked "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Movie", but most people hated it. It's very much a guy movie, with no thought process required. In fact, thought process would probably hurt your enjoyment of it.

I haven't seen "Death Race" yet, but I want to see it.

The first two "Transporter" movies were decent. The third was pretty bad.

That's my opinion of the the Jason Statham video library. ;)

I saw pix on the news here with 1-2 feet of water on some roads on Emerald Isle. Is it that bad in Morehead?

The beach roads are worse..but we have a few lakes around that are usually just puddles. I just came from a service call to Atlantic Beach, and they seem to be drying out pretty well.

This persistent drizzle will not stop. It doesn't seem like much looking at it but when you are actually in it you get pretty wet.

Last night, ILJ mentioned that she lost rom-com interest in Hugh Grant a LONG time ago. In contrast, Colin Firth has staying power.

Hasn't Matthew Mc-con-a-hey (however you spell his last name) assumed the role of rom-com guy?
I <3 Matthew McConaughey. He's man-pretty (to borrow my cousin's term). Too bad he can't act. :)) Although, I will say, he was HILARIOUS in "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." I've always been a Richard Gere fan as well. Was it just me, or did he improve a bit with age?

Hmmmm, how to answer this question? He's assumed a role, but's it not 'go-to guy'. He has yet to make a decent Rom-com.
What about "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"?
