I don't make a straight apple pie. I make a cranberry apple streusel pie - so no upper crust. The streusel is brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, lemon juice, and oil. It isn't runny. Due to the lemon in with the apples, it is nice and tart.

Ymo: Zenyatta or Rachel Alexandra for horse of the year? Z was awesome at the Breeder's Cup yesterday.

My pick would be Rachel Alexandra but Zenyatta's more recent exploits may be a factor.

Back home at the beach now, it was a beautiful day for a drive. Had a very nice breakfast with my dad and stepmom. Time to face another week before GT. GO DUKE!!
