R.I.P. Hurley (the pet Iguana)

Post by EarlJam » April 30th, 2009, 1:22 pm

He got sick. It was uncurable, and Hurley (my iguana) passed away last night.

I was really attached to the little fella, and quite frankly, this is sad. This is an awkward "please send good vibes," but, "Please send good vibes." I fed him, treated him well. He just got really ill. Anyway, all vibes welcome.

And if I might say on this forum (not trying to be funny at all), but......"fuck."

R.I.P. my little buddy.

Thanks man. Your Guinness avatar actually gives me an idea. Anyone who raises a glass of spirits on this board: Please raise one for Hurley at 8:00. I'll be joining you in that toast. Just a simple, "Here's to Hurley," then a sip, swallow, chug of your favorite. It would be a nice tribute to a really cool pet.

8 pm it is...a glass shall be raised (in the general direction of Atlanta) in honor of Hurley (gee I wonder if I remember how to mix a Grasshopper - LOL)

I will be unavailable at 8pm, but perhaps at 5pm (which is 8pm your time), I'll raise my water bottle (I'll be in the office).

I am leaving work early, just so I can run by the store and pick up a beverage, and be home in time to toast. Here's to Hurley!

Thank you all. At heart, I can be quite sentimental, and this "mass toast" from my Duke friends means a ton.

It really, really does.

Thanks to everyone. You all are the bestastical people.

Toast and Vibes at 8:00 EST.

20 minutes until the universal Hurley toast.

This is not a gimmick. I may be a little crazy, definitely sentimental, but it's not a gimmick, or anything other than wanting an honest toast to this little guy who has been my "friend" over the past 1.5 years. Also, promise, I've had zero drinks. This is sincere.

Thanks to all participating. It helps. It helps a lot. Even if belated, it helps.

At 8:00, I will toast Hurley with a Guinness and let him know that he's joined by may others.

Thanks to all of you. Toast, and send vibes. What a great send off.
