As those who have read my "What To Do With My Life (Professionally)" thread will know, I've been thinking of quitting my PhD but have recently decided to finish. At the same time, I've decided I need to go out and grab a full-time job for A) financial reasons and B) because, if I did not finish the doctorate or, even if I did but stuck with my decision not to become a prof, I wanted to go into academic administration as an alternate career. I figured I could finish the degree part-time while working full-time.

I recently started applying for administrative jobs and just received a call asking me to come in for an interview at my undergrad institution. My interview is set for Monday afternoon and I am really interested in the position so I'd like to request some Crazie Talk vibes to help with the interview/hiring process.

End of the semester - she's buried in finals/papers/projects....I leave food out and it gets eaten so I know she's still alive.

End of the semester - she's buried in finals/papers/projects....I leave food out and it gets eaten so I know she's still alive.

I am alive, just busy really really really busy. But the good news is I just have an 8 page summary paper, 12 pg online final, a study guide to fill out, a notebook on my hours (couple pages no biggie), an online discussion w/ 4 replies to others, and 3 finals to study for. No worries.

I'm not sure how to vibrate effectively so that you'd feel the breeze. Maybe it's like the butterfly/hurricane phenomenon. I'm trying though. My kid's looking at me like I'm nuts. ;) Anyway, good luck and best wishes.
