The hardes part about moving?

Getting a new barber trained to leave some hair on my head. Many years ago, I would have been fine with hair this short. These days not so much.

BTD - Begging to Differ. It's another message board founded for some of the same reasons we started the CTN. Except they are all a bunch of policy wonks over there who rarely want to have fun. Well, some of them are. I'm likely to get in trouble there sometime cause some threads just beg me to yank some chains.

I was at a sporting goods store with two of the boys last week. I saw some of those mini-helmets my brother had as a kid. I bought them for me! My sons were enamoured and asked if they could play with them. I reluctantly said yes. They have lost the Atlanta Falcons mini-helmet already. I am not pleased.

How big are the helmets? I don't have my collection any more, but I had most of the teams (circa early 80's) that you got from the vending machines. They came in the small plastic spherical containers. I loved those things.

Did I mention I got a haircut? And that they chopped off too much of my hair? This is something that repeats every time I move. I always forget to tell them to leave it long on top(relative to what they normally do). I'm so used to having the same person cutting it after the search for a barber after the move. Apparently, this is a pattern of behaviour for me that doesn't appear to be changing. Hmmm...a little reinforcement for teaching an old dog new tricks. At least it still grows back.

I have my 30th year high school reunion next weekend in New Jersey. I haven't attended any one of these. Any words of advice from others who have attended such things?

Go to Brunchgate instead. You'll probably have more fun and more people will recognize you. :)) =)) ;) :D

Reunions are great! And the more people who come back for it the better it is. You'll recognize about half the people you see, and I'm talking about your classmates and not their spouses you've never met. Weight gain and loss/graying of hair are the biggest culprits!

You'll discover you still like most of the people you were friendly with, and those "other assholes" aren't so bad after all. Advice? Don't get too drunk, flirt with all the women you didn't ask out when you were in high school, and then go back to the hotel with ILJ and make mad, passionate love to her! :D
Your paradigm of optimism

Make sure you are going to a barber you know...so that they cut your hair how you want it.

Did I mention yet that they cut off all my hair? Okay, not all of it. Way too much of it.
