So ALL of us got 10 points for choosing the polesitter, Mark Martin.

Yeah, works for me. But I've got so few starts left for quality drivers and 8 races to go!Lavabe wrote:So ALL of us got 10 points for choosing the polesitter, Mark Martin.

I switched one of my starters for a bench driver but, other than that, I am happy with my picks.

I'm usually happy until I see the results. I haven't been watching nearly as many races this year. I used to do all my ironing during them. Not sure what happened this year.

Re: NASCAR 2009
I have like 7 more races with Mark Martin, 2 with JJ, and 3 or 4 with Gordon. I think I'll use up a lot of Hendrick these next few races. Well, there IS one upcoming race that is a Roush-Fenway race.YmoBeThere wrote:Yeah, works for me. I still have a few JPM races left, and I have a couple of Smoke picks left. I'm near done with KK and Kurt Busch.
Hmm... Ambrose or Dinger? Ambrose or Dinger?

Jr., Little E, whatever. He may need to make some changes in his team. Of course, some might say he is the needed change.

You can't blame Jr for loose lugnut problems.YmoBeThere wrote:Jr., Little E, whatever. He may need to make some changes in his team. Of course, some might say he is the needed change.
Looks like JJ is tearing up this course.

Meanwhile, Biff is holding the lead, and JJ is caught in some traffic problems. It's Biff, Smoke, Hamlin, Gordon, and JPM with 70 laps to go.

This turned out to be a stupid idea as I switched put Vickers in in place of Mears. Shitty.

Re: NASCAR 2009
I did fairly well: 4th,6th,7th, and 17th
Order of finish: Smoke, Gordon, Biffle, Montoya, Hamlin, KK, Martin, Reutimann, and JJ.
Dinger finished 17th.

And my lead shrinks some more. I need a four tire change but we only have two tires left.

Re: NASCAR 2009
I'm 34 points behind Ymo.
Today's winner was Biding My Time ... back-to-back. And Miles was close as well.
On to California!!

Re: NASCAR 2009
Biding My Time is STILL on a roll. He got the polesitter (Denny Hamlin) for Sunday's race, as well as getting the #2 position (David Reutimann), as well as #4 (JJ). Or did he also get the #3 (Biffle)? I think for this week BMT is praying for a one-lap race.
Meanwhile, it looks like nearly everyone has Dinger as a Group C choice. Whether everyone chooses him is another matter.

Re: NASCAR 2009
Do I stick with my choices or do I swap a couple of drivers off the bench and into my starting line up? I want to, but every time I do it comes back to bite me in the ass.

Re: NASCAR 2009
Well THIS news screws up the starting positions a little:
http://www.nascar.com/2009/news/headlin ... index.html
So Reutimann starts in the back of the field, and his qualifying time is disallowed.
Now I DEFINITELY will go with JPM. Of course, Biding My Time has the advantage this week.
Also, Blech may not start, due to the flu. Who would take his place?
David Gilliland.
Okay... I'm going with Dinger on his home track today. I'll save Ambrose for Martinsville. So my big question is:
JJ or MM?

Re: NASCAR 2009
I went with JJ, who has been trading the lead with JPM most of this race.
No major accidents yet, although Dinger nearly went into the wall, thanks to Menard.
With 82 laps to go, it's: JJ, JPM, Gordon, MM, and Hamlin.
