Instead of a crown, what about a Championship belt type with antacids as the centerpiece?Miles wrote: Most chili cook-offs offer a prize for crowd favorite.

I like CB&B's suggestion of January 30th so that those with BBall tickets can participate/attend. The 30th would also give Miles more time to perfect his recipe

Perhaps it was just the mention of March and the idea of a chili-cookoff that got us started. Seeing that folks are running away with it might be telling us something though.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I know....but folks are running away with it.wilson wrote:Yeah, I was not serious with my suggestion.CameronBornAndBred wrote:The only thing happening on March 5th will be people conducting a status check, and the women's team playing in Greensboro. Re: CTN Chili Cookoff
I liked the idea! Especially the Nov 28th, pregame festivities and tasting! It doesn't have to be a cook-off, so to speak, but warm up! Later is good also.... nothing better than some good HOT Chili on a cold day!!!!Miles wrote:Perhaps it was just the mention of March and the idea of a chili-cookoff that got us started. I like the 11/28 idea. Warm/hot chili, cornbread, veggies sticks, brown ale, porter, stout, brownies, cookies, chocolate cake. Ymm, Brunchgate.

Put me down for a honkin' pot of chili and two loaves of cornbread.devildeac wrote:I like the 11/28 idea. Warm/hot chili, cornbread, veggies sticks, brown ale, porter, stout, brownies, cookies, chocolate cake. Ymm, Brunchgate.
