Now let's behave ourselves!!!! I was thinking about my brain which appears to need some/A LOT of exercise at the moment as it has been a slow day around here at SAIC today and Windsor and I share the techie backgrounds also, so I needed some challenges. P.S. I think I have done a fine job of eating foot and shoe today, but thanks for your support!!!!bjornolf wrote:Seriously, man, when are you gonna learn to just quit while you're just a LITTLE behind? ;)

My neighbors ditch needs some seriously cleaning. Her ditch backs causing my ditch to back up. When mine backs up, it spills over to my yard.cl15876 wrote:Really, OMG!!!! I thought you were on a high part!TillyGalore wrote:My front yard is flooded. Good thing Tillygate isn't anytime soon.

It's obviously not as bad as in Georgia, but Derm just saw nice wallop of a storm roll through. I was driving up to Katie's daycare on Broad St. between 5 and 5:30. I drove by East Campus and at the NW corner (Broad and Markham) there were sheets of water pouring over the wall and onto the sidewalk. That whole section of campus drains to that corner and it was overflowing the wall.

Your absolutely right. I've been meaning to as I doubt the City of Durham will do it, though I believe they are supposed to.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I think ya outta throw the hammer down and be a ditchbitch!TillyGalore wrote: My neighbors ditch needs some seriously cleaning. The quotient rule in Calculus (Derivatives) is kicking my butt.
I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but it's obviously something.
the rule is:
(g(x)f^1(x) - f(x)g^1(x))/g(x)^2 right?
I MUST be missing a step... I can't seem to get any of them right.

CellR - check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotient_rule and if it doesn't help, then put a graphic together of your problem. I am not getting what you typed.CellR wrote:The quotient rule in Calculus (Derivatives) is kicking my butt.

That wikipedia article has some good examples. If it doesn't help, post a specific problem and I'm happy to help walk you through it.CellR wrote:The quotient rule in Calculus (Derivatives) is kicking my butt.

Re: LTE 2.0
Alright, so I'm back and y'all have hardly filled any pages here. WTF?!? I am so disappointed in all of you
Thanks to everyone for their wishes/vibes for my aunt.
It was a nice trip home. We didn't get around to cutting any of the wood because it was raining yesterday and we had other stuff to do today. The visit from the relatives from Scotland was great - it was nice to see them again. My grandmother (my Mom's mother) was the oldest of nine kids and one of the relatives that was here was her youngest sibling (it is a sister of her's and my grandmother's, so my great aunt, who has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer). Despite having grandchildren of her own, the aunt who was here (we don't really make distinctions such as great aunt or second cousin or anything like that in my family) has treated me like her own grandchild for as long as I can remember (my Gran died fifteen years ago) so we are pretty close. One of her daughters was also over here with her and it was great to see her again as I stay with her while in my hometown in Scotland (because my Gran was so much older than her Mom I am pretty close in age to her and her younger sister and they were more like older sisters to me when I lived there than cousins). Her husband and kids weren't here but it was still nice to see her as I haven't seen her since I returned from my extended trip to Britain last summer. We're already making plans for me to stay with them again when I go back next summer and it was just nice to sit around with them both and to catch up on all of the goings on over there.
But when I got back to my own place tonight I found my roommate outside with our dog. As I got out of my car he told me to be prepared for some stink when I got into the house as our dumbass of a dog had gotten herself sprayed by a skunk shortly before I got home. He hadn't realized what had happened and the dog had come back into the house reeking of skunk so now our dog stinks, our house stinks, and basically everything around here stinks. Stupid fucking dog!!!!!!!
