I love it although I really did nothing as a mod because everyone before me had done such a stellar job. I did read almost every post, as a mod should. Once I got my new job though, I knew it would be impossible to even read the posts, much less deal with any issues that may arise, so I passed the green jacket to CellR. I really love the rotating mod system. It strengthens our community.Lavabe wrote:You're really into this numerology thing, aren't you?CellR wrote:I think it's pretty awesome when 25/25 of the top 25 posters on CTN have logged in in the past 25 hours.
By the way ... have I said how much better it is to have the rotating mod system? What do the former mods think of the experience?

As a poster, I've grown to appreciate the system for much the same reason that you mentioned, but was curious as to the mod perspective. I guess it helps the mods in terms of the potential fatigue factor (which was mentioned earlier in this thread), but it also keeps the posters reasonably honest because of the community aspect of it.DukePA wrote:I love it although I really did nothing as a mod because everyone before me had done such a stellar job. Done. Keeping this on topic, Lavabe probably loves that he can place remote beer orders. I went to Straub's after the balloon race and noticed that they still had Wheach. It was either Wheach for Lavabe or Schlafly Pumpkin Ale for me. The Wheach won; I figured I'd be able to find Pumpkin Ale for a while. Wouldn't have known about either beer if not for my fine brew-drinking comrades (and Ozzie) of the CTN. (NOTE: Had to separate out Ozzie; I don't think Bud Lite qualifies as a fine brew. ) Will keep it in the fridge until you and ILJ can make it this way.Lavabe wrote:And here's the shofar (a little bit before sunset):throatybeard wrote:Drinking, this reminds me Lavabe.
I may be able to bring you another Schlafly shipment this Christmas. Shalay is going to Georgia early, by air. I have to hang around work for a few days extra, and I may go down through Cincinnati instead of the shorter way through Nashville for personal reasons. If that is the case, I would be able to meet you on I-75 and hand off a few sixers.

As per my response to Arkie on another thread, I had hoped to go to StL this weekend for the balloon race, but my dad's 85th birthday party came up. Will try to figure out when we will next be in StL... GOT to be sometime in the next month. It's a shorter ride now that we're in Lexington.
And the other GREAT thing is that we now get Schlafly in the stores. It's the OFallon WHEACH that I can't find. If either you or Arkie find the Wheach, SAVE ME A SIXER NOW!! I left for Madagascar just as it was coming out, and I can't find it over here... I believe the season is over.
L'chaim, y'all!! Shana tova!!

Nor do I have those little pointy things sticking outta my head. Unless, of course, I wear my free (and temporary) king's crown, shamelessly procured from BK a couple of weeks ago.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Welllll...you don't look like yours either.
