I actually started laughing when I saw that. Irony at its finest.
And DD, I'd never close this thread. Never being lynched is on my bucket list. ;)

So you noted the brief firestorm when I locked the LTE for a couple hours...  ;)

Busy morning. Got more work done this morning at home than I've gotten done in a long time.

No doubt it's the after effects of the mass adrenaline rush of PWing.

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I'm home for lunch. I've already read two books today. Aiming for two more this afternoon. Four in one day would be a personal best.

The first was quite good, an extensive chronicle of the development and character of colonial Charleston's commerce.
The second was an overview of the colonial North American economy. It's a useful survey of the topic, but I differ considerably with some of the author's claims. It will nevertheless be helpful in preparing for comps when I need a big-picture assessment like that.
Next up is a profile of a London merchant house, followed by a study of sociopolitical evolution in eighteenth-century South Carolina.

I gotta figure out if I have the CBS sports network stuff so I can watch Army this weekend. If I don't, I don't see paying for one game. I'll be bar hopping.

It seems my level of posting is inversely proportional to the amount of work I'm getting done. Funny that.
