All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Trying to pitch in but I've got problems at work. Maybe I should just post until the problems go away. Is that possible?YmoBeThere wrote:Unfortunately, we are losing some steam at the moment.wilson wrote:That's .87 posts per minute in the past almost 26 hours. At the time CellR mentioned 9/9/09, there were 8203 posts in LTE 2.0. So with this one, we've posted in it 1340 times since the "challenge".

We're all obsessing here on 9909. I'm wondering if we DO make it, can we coordinate it to stop for the rest of the day on this thread. It would really be cool if we could stay on 9909 until midnight. That would be truly impressive, but it would take a real coordinated effort, and we'd have to assign the person who gets the big one. Unless one of the mods could just lock it temporary.

Hell, on this site, you only need one finger to post. Heck, you could do it with a toe. Or a nose.windsor wrote:wilson wrote:I'm sure we'll blow right on through 10,000 sometime today/tonight, too.wilson wrote:I still wanna figure out how many posts have gone up since CellR inadvertently issued the challenge. I'm sure we will to...I didnt' fine original reference to 9909...but I know who had no faith in the pwing power of crazie talkers
humph...we will reach 9909 with one hand tied behind our collective backs.

Coordinated effort in this case is a euphemism for self-control...

Yeah, you've gotta be fast. I'm thinking that what Wilson said earlier may be more interesting. Okay, I'm talking obliquely. He referred to the 10,000th post in an earlier post.devildeac wrote:I'd offer to set you up for it but you know hows that goes... ;)YmoBeThere wrote:Who shall hit the 9,909th post? Well, with the rapidity of the posting in the last day, there will be some free time this evening. If one chooses to maintain some self-control and not go after 10k.
