You're a Super Taster, too.
I don't think they are necessarily mutually exclusive. In the VAST majority of cases, I fall in the middle somewhere. I believe I fall in the "sensitive taster" category, but not quite the super taster. I think non super tasters CAN have an aversion to saccharin, and I think some super tasters DON'T have the aversion. I don't think one necessarily HAS to follow the other. I think it actually falls on a different part of the same chromosome, genetically.

I don't think I can be a supertaster, since they are also supposed to have aversions to things like coffee (clearly not) and spicy foods (definitely not).

Are you trying to tell me you were actually more than 100 yards from a Starbucks? Is that even possible anymore?

I have often pondered that same question! If it weren't for the old mentality "out of site + out of mind = non-productivity", I could work remotely everyday and my world would be a much happier place! I can travel to meetings (not a problem), but to waste anywhere from 1-2 each way traveling to and from the office is like a 12-13 hour day which I can do in my sleep when I am working from the house, but the traffic stress of rush hour absolutely sucks and is so exhausting!!!!

Agreed on both counts.
OH, didn't see this before I posted about Starbucks. So, you coffee drinkers are telling me that Starbucks coffee sucks? Really? I thought it was just their tea. But then again, I think all coffee sucks, so there you go.

If PW'ing can be considered work. Effort, yes. Work, maybe not.
One could turn this into a giant conversation with oneself, couldn't one?
Yes, you were doing a pretty good demonstration of that yesterday!!!! :-B Do you talk to yourself often? :-? :-? :-? :-?

My wife LOVES working at home. She hated the commute, and she took VRE, which isn't so bad.

Is anyone else here like me who thinks artificial sweeteners taste bitter and gross? I'd rather drink water than anything with artificial sweetener in it.
I try to avoid the artificial sweeteners if at all possible! I agree they just don't do it for me either! :-bd

Yes Starbucks coffee sucks. They over-roast the beans, leading to a charred flavor in all of their brewed coffees. I have a friend who has a coffee roasting business in Raleigh. He has a coupon code you can use for 10% off your order. Enter CHARBUCKS at checkout. I think it still works.

I'm going to try to increase my WFH frequency. I'm going to aim for 1-2 times per week.

bjornolf, I don't blame your wife. If I lived in DC again, I'd do the same. Here in Durham, the commute is easier.

We tried using Starbucks as a landmark in Chicago a while back. It didn't really help.

What does WFH stand for? The only think I saw on the web was World Federation for Hemophilia. The only one I could come up with was "work for hire", but that doesn't even really make sense.
