I have a bag of Starbucks Anniversary Blend on my desk. It was a gift from a client.

I would have preferred a thank-you note to a bag of coffee.

Ick. Starbucks doesn't make coffee. That stuff is swill.

I hate the word 'webinar'. I dunno why. It's entirely irrational. I just really hate it. It's unquestionably my least favorite word in the English language.

I don't think they are necessarily mutually exclusive. In the VAST majority of cases, I fall in the middle somewhere. I believe I fall in the "sensitive taster" category, but not quite the super taster. I think non super tasters CAN have an aversion to saccharin, and I think some super tasters DON'T have the aversion. I don't think one necessarily HAS to follow the other. I think it actually falls on a different part of the same chromosome, genetically.

Color me impressed. There's no way I could do that. I can barely draw a decent outline of the United States, let alone fill in EVERY state that accurately. What you don't know is that he practiced for five days, and he was tracing a perforated page. ;) I kid, I kid.

Heck, I couldn't even get the convergence of Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina to look that good freehand.

I'm not sure I remember any days that cold in the ROK, although I probably experienced a few in the 4 years I lived there. When were you there? Climate wise, I found it much like Kansas.

I'm thinking this was around 1999 or 2000, the coldest place I've ever been! I know the wind in Kansas can get be pretty bone piercing in the middle of the cold January winters also, but I've not experience that!!!!! It was beautiful in Seoul, but cold as Sh!t!!!!!!!! You had to pack yourself up in 3/4 layers of clothing and the LTC I was working with, drove me down the peninsula to Osan and the Col down there wanted to play golf besides answer my questions (go figure), but Taegu was a little better (damn crater in the earth)!!!!! Reminded me of the MASH days begging for Charles' Down insulated thermal long johns and coveralls (for lack of better terminology) !!!!!

I was there a few years (decades) before that. Drove my mom nuts because I wore t-shirts all winter and wouldn't zip the winter coat when I headed off for school.

I think I could have handled the cold back then, but it is hell to get old and chilled to the bone! You just can't warm up!!!! burrrrr!!!!! ;)
