I make excellent custard, it's true, I'm always on the lookout for an even better custard recipe, but the one I use is darn good. It's all in how you cook it, really. I own two sets of ramekins.

I've developed a lovely case of carpal tunnel over the last few weeks, I blame my new chair at work. I'm going to have to go to the doctor soon. It's excruciating...but I hate doctors. (No offense DD). It's way worse in my right wrist/arm than my left, so I move my mouse more left handed now. I know ILJ had a fugly experience with it, hopefully I don't have to deal with what she had to.

Yes, you are correct. If you can't substitute "it is" for it's, then it's its. Its is the exception that "proves the rule" for possession - no apostrophe needed! (Note: I didn't need my Spanish class to learn this! :)) )
I... I... feel scolded on the first day of school. [-x
I'm glad for it though.

All my lights are out, and in the dark distance of the kitchen I heard my cat yak up something dsigusting. (It can't be anything pretty, it was yakked up.)
The kitchen is in between me and my bedroom. To get to the best light switch, I have to cross the vastness that I heard said yakking coming from, which means a high probability of stepping is something unpleasant. I am sending out telepathic calls to my dogs to "come here". I figure that enroute, they will come across whatever the cat yakked up and promptly eat it. Dogs are great for clearing up other pets' messes. I call my wife's dog "shitmouth" because whatever the cat leaves in the litter box never stays there long enough to throw away.
Anyways..."here, dog!"

Will get ILJ to respond. Sorry about that. Hope you caught it early enough for physical therapy (so you can avoid surgery). Sounds like you'll be getting the neurology test done. Good luck!

I have never heard of this use of "yak." :ymsick: I have only heard of its use as a verb (to chatter) and a noun (the animal... 3:-O ).

I guess I live a sheltered life. :-??

That's great news. Hopefully some sense of normalcy will return along with it. Nothing like being without your stuff to make you feel like you're in limbo. :-bd

I have, but I always thought it was spelled "yack", but that's just me. We used it as that when I was a kid. It's in the urban dictionary as "yack" with a hundred different meanings, all pertaining to vomit.

Couldn't you use a flashlight? I have several of them, and a few electric lanterns, in our bedroom for when the power goes out. If you have that problem with cat barf often, you might want to put a flashlight under your bed or something.
