On a slightly happier note, just for Tilly:
Today is the 50th Anniversary of Hawaii's statehood. Yay! Everybody get lei'd! ;)

I hope that your wife's family will be comforted by memories of happy times with her aunt. Having Katie there will remind everyone that happier times are ahead for all of you.DukeUsul wrote:Well I managed to catch up on just 5-6 pages of LTE this morning. We're through two days of wake/funeral stuff. It's very sad to sit around with 80-something parents lamenting the loss of their 50-something daughter. My FIL recommended something like "you probably don't want to bring Katie to the funeral home" but we told him we disagreed. We brought Katie to the wake and the funeral and she was the best medicine. Nothing like a happy toddler to take everyone's mind off of things and provide some smiles.
We're sitting at my in-laws house in Little Egg Harbor today. May not get in the water today, we're having periodic rain. My parents and brother will be coming today to visit. The rest of Lisa's family will also be coming over. Hopefully for some happy times.

I am glad that things went well for ya! I am not looking forward to the day my doc say's I have to mine removed. But hey, I was thinking, since you are short some wisdom now, wanna play SCRABBLE?Miles wrote: ... I went in for a follow-up with oral surgeon. He removed a bone fragment that was poking through the inside gumline. Unfortunately it felt like he hit a nerve while shooting me up so my entire face is numb. I was going to say something along those same linesCameronBornAndBred wrote:I see dead people. And George Harrison. George was great.Bostondevil wrote:Actually, it was my something old, it came from Duke Homecoming '58. I had to wear 3 garters as my dress, veil, stockings, shoes, and unmentionables were all new. I had an old garter, a borrowed garter, and a blue one. One friend brought me a genuine sixpence back from England too. It will be 18 years on September 7th. Oh, by the way, for those of you who have met Mr. BD, he's on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine this week, the one on the far left. Check it out.
OMG, unbelievable!!!!! Sorry I missed the toast last night and sending vibes and prayers your way throughout the day, but please accept my apologies and am now sending those belated vibes and prayers!!!DukieInKansas wrote:It is 8/21 in Kansas and I have to shut the sliding glass door at 9pm because it is too cold in here. CB&B - is the webcam for security purposes and so we can go to his link and check out how beautiful everything is there?CameronBornAndBred wrote:I'm setting up a wireless webcam for my stepdad, it works pretty well (D-Link DCS-920). Tomorrow I'll have to set him up with a domain that he wants, and whip up a quick webpage for the camera. I'm pretty impressed with his HughesNet, he has 1.5Mbps download, 0.2Mbps upload. I wasn't expecting it to be that fast, but I think he is paying extra for it. Also, I'd love for it to rain while I'm here so I can what effect it has.
Also, does it work over secure wireless? I haven't looked up the product yet, just wondering?cl15876 wrote:CB&B - is the webcam for security purposes and so we can go to his link and check out how beautiful everything is there?CameronBornAndBred wrote:I'm setting up a wireless webcam for my stepdad, it works pretty well (D-Link DCS-920).
