Who was the better sitcom DJ character, Venus Fly Trap or Dr. Johnny Fever?
Who was the better character, Les Nessman or Herb Tarlek?
I'll go with Dr. Johnny Fever and Les Nessman. Remember Nessman's pronunciation of Chi Chi Rodriguez?

Definitely Les.Who was the better character, Les Nessman or Herb Tarlek?
Yes, vividly! And do you remember the other comment from that scene - that Rodriguez had played the round in X strokes under par but that hopefully he'd improve and play up to par the next time out?Remember Nessman's pronunciation of Chi Chi Rodriguez?

It's been too long. I don't know who any of those people are. The only radio personalities from a sit com I remember are the guys from Frasier. I loved Bulldog, the sports guy. Little, bald, gray, TOTALLY cocky, thinking he was the ladies man while always striking out.

Andy asks Les "what is Eyewitness Weather". Les responds, "I just look outside...and I witness the weather"
actually I wish our local weathermen would employ that technique!

I wholeheartedly agree and I do!!!! I was thinking about this as I re-watched the episode prior to posting last night for Wilson's benefit and I was reliving alot of old, (ooops), previous memories!Lavabe wrote:Who was the better sitcom DJ character, Venus Fly Trap or Dr. Johnny Fever?

It always cracks me when you hear the weather report and they chance of rain, and it is raining.windsor wrote:Andy asks Les "what is Eyewitness Weather". Les responds, "I just look outside...and I witness the weather"

Excellent observation!!!! I've always regretted not going into the weather bidness .... that is one profession that you can always express yourself (right or wrong - generally speaking) and never worry about losing your JOB!!!!!!TillyGalore wrote:It always cracks me when you hear the weather report and they chance of rain, and it is raining.windsor wrote:Andy asks Les "what is Eyewitness Weather". Direction change:
One of the funniest moments on TV - ever (IMHO) Tim Conway and the Siamese Elephants ad lib on the Carol Burnett show....I'd put the YouTube link up if it wasn't blocked from work!

Just leave work - aren't we (and our entertainment) more important?

Unless you are planning on supporting your future mother in law in her old age, leaving work is probably a bad plan.colchar wrote:

Which never would have existed without Cheers, which surprisingly made no one's list.bjornolf wrote: The only radio personalities from a sit com I remember are the guys from Frasier.
I'll take Nessman and Venus in the question. Herb was too annoying. Fever was a great character, I could have gone with either of those two choices. Mr.Carlson was good, the wishy-washy guy who hated making decisions. (Although he'll always be The Maytag Repairman). Who was the other male character with the cheesy hair? Never seen or heard from again. Good 'ol whatshisface.

You mean Andy Travis, the program director?

Touche. Alright, you got me there. Phoebe is the only one that's funny. I'll agree the others are quality eye candy...wilson wrote:I think Friends is a good deal funnier than most people give it credit for.Turk wrote: Friends sucks, except for Phoebe. Can't watch a show where only 1/6 of the cast is worth watching.
And come on, are you gonna tell me that she's the only one worth watching among that cast?
There are a couple of others from that show that I'll watch any time, with or without sound. ;)
