I can believe he left his ticket behind, and about the toothpaste, but his cell phone? That's amazing. If the flight was later in the day (and his left coast friends were awake, he'd have missed not texting someone on the way to the airport.

Does he use it as his iPod too? Teens usually have that thing implanted into their bodies.
