Format-pint can
Appearance-yellow pinkish; modest fizz, disappearing quickly
Nose-lemons, limes and strawberries
Mouthfeel-pucker, pucker
Tastes-mild Berry sweetness and rhubarby tartness
Adjuncts-three guesses
IBU-“no IBU” but I’ll speculate 8
ABV-6.5%
Overall impression-different style/flavors than the New Glarus Strawberry Rhubarb but still high quality stuff
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; just below the Upland sours davec selected but not much

Tastes-funkified peach and apricot juices with lemon and lime squeezings
Adjuncts-peaches and apricots in some form
Fermenting organisms-Brettanomyces, Pediococcus, Saccharomyces and Lactobacillus (:scream:)
IBU-“no IBU” is incorrect but close, likely <10
ABV-6%
Overall impression-very good sour and pairing but fell a bit short of davec’s recent Upland traders
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3 with the chunk detracting slightly, too, but still a high quality sour

Barrel Aged Chocolate Orange Nilla Imperial Stout Appalachian Mountain Brewing

Format-500 ml bottle
Sipping vessels-snifters
Appearance-dark, dark brown; few tan bubbles
Nose-semisweet chocolate and orange
Mouthfeel-a bit thin but very alluring
Tastes-dark chocolate covered jellied orange slices, vanilla, light bourbon
Adjuncts-some types/forms of chocolates, oranges and vanilla :woozy_face:
IBU-19 (I’d have never guessed that low)
ABV-10% (now that looks/sounds/tastes right)
Overall impression-reminded us of the Bourbon County Stout orange variant a couple years ago in addition to a similar Old Rugger one off
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; would certainly sip again but a shelf below the other two

Dark beer and citrus is a nice combination. On my recent trip to California, I enjoyed multiple Negra Modelo’s on draft.

Overall impression-woulda paired nicely with my Guasaca grilled chicken salad with lotsa tasty toppings
