True story: "Creve Coeur" translates to "Burst Heart." That city name has always weirded me out.
That's not accurate. Literally without understanding the context/connotation, you're technically correct. However, most folks understand it as "Broken Heart."
See the welcome sign on this link:
http://stlouishome.com/images/crevecoeur.jpg

The history behind the name is discussed in the final paragraph of this link:

Cheers,
Lavabe
That may well be true, but the French themselves would not interpret it thus. To express a broken heart, they would most likely say, "J'ai le coeur brisé."

That's fine, just as long as I don't have to drive a French car. We had one way back in the '80's. I didn't really like that vehicle.

I think many French cars are quite beautiful, but even the French think they're pieces of shit.

Okay an American might have had a hand in styling the US version, but there is little good to say about this car. L-) Other than it took the power drops fairly well and was the first car I had that had a tach.

And no, that is not me in that Renault Encore. I have no photographic evidence of the vehicle whatsoever.

Better team this year? Probably (but the Braves have some life in them yet).
Better stadium? A wash. Both are great.
Better city? Depends on your perspective. Two entirely different places (although I do really like St. Louis).
Better uniforms? Another wash. Two of the best in the biz.
This might be considered sacrelige by some, but I have not yet gone to a Cards game. It's on my list of things to do at some point.
Cardinals fans have heartily earned their reputation as the best fans in baseball. You really need to make this happen.
Part of the reason I love going to the Braves games was fostered by what I grew up with in grad school days in St. Louis. Cards' games are really a completely different atmosphere, with more elements of community, family, and longstanding history, all in the shadow of the city's unifying force, the Arch. I didn't get as much of that in Atlanta at the Ted, as it does NOT have the same elements in the same proportions. There isn't that one big landmark that draws everyone to one place in Atlanta (the Varsity excluded). However, the people make the stadium, and meeting up with wilson, EJam, ugadevil, and even students really made that a special place too. If I had not done that, I don't know how I would have survived my last two or three years in Atlanta. ILJ knows that I had missed that from St. Louis, and so she NEVER dissuaded me from meeting up at the Ted. She encouraged me.

I lived in St. Louis some 12 years and I lived in Atlanta some 11 years. I love both. I would move back to St. Louis IN A HEARTBEAT (can't say that the opportunity will ever come about in either Atlanta or St. Louis). The great thing is, I am now roughly equidistant between both cities. And frankly, I really do love both teams. I think the Cards' Birds-on-a-Bat uniform is classic, and the history of that team in the community is fantastic. But I really hope that the Braves' come through and win another title. They have a few more to get before they catch the Birds. And Atlanta really needs a championship (perhaps two?) this year.

I call it a wash.

Now if The Cards are in town the same day as the Balloon Race... WE'RE THERE!!!
2014, 2011, and 2009 Lemur Loving CTN NASCAR Champ. No lasers were used to win these titles.

Clarification: I said many, not all, French cars are beautiful.
Some of them are quirkily so, such as the 1960s/70s Citroëns:

I was asked by a friend last night where I would live if I could only pick one place. I wasn't too specific about my answer to her, other than to say that North Carolina is the only place that feels like home. So, with that as the criteria would you say that St. Louis would be home or Atlanta? Or somewhere else?

If I could live in one place, other than Durham, it would be Hawaii. Yeah, yeah, I know both are miles apart, and not just in geography.

I love Durham as it's a college town, I love the diversity, I love the neighborhood I live in, I love my house, and I LOVE my employer (Duke, not my actual boss).

I love Hawaii as it is so much more laid back than the mainland. Weather is pretty much the same all year long. Oh, and sharks live nearby so I can visit periodically. :D

Mine was a linked image from the net using the IMG codes. You attached yours. So maybe that is the key factor?

We rented a Peugeot in England a few weeks back. The best thing I can say about it is that it worked.

I was born in Hawaii. I moved away. I've never been back.
