Re: LTE 2.0
When I got home this evening, I got all my stuff out of my car, set it outside the garage, and locked the door. As soon as I closed the door, I realized my house key was still inside my car - still inside the now locked garage. I went through a few options in my mind before pulling out a card from my wallet. Tried for a couple of minutes to open the door and wasn’t having much luck, so I googled “how to open a door with a card,” on my phone. After a couple more minutes, I actually got the door open.
Really happy I have a strong WiFi connection.

You never know when such skills will come in handy! Just make sure it's your lock you're picking.ArkieDukie wrote: ↑May 20th, 2019, 9:34 pmWhen I got home this evening, I got all my stuff out of my car, set it outside the garage, and locked the door. AD, remember that one of your learned counsel is in Europe at the moment, so don't go picking any locks for a few weeks.

No garden planted this year either. After a good 4 year streak, nada, zip, zero, nothing.

No more lock picking lately. The last incident inspired me to stop leaving my house keys in my vehicle. They now go immediately into my pocket or purse and stay there.

You separate your house keys from your car keys? I've never not had mine together.

The Rev LG, my intelligent but ADHD-afflicted spouse, has been known to put his keys in the trunk of a vehicle when unloading his grocery buggy, and then shutting the vehicle trunk with the keys still inside. Since men have POCKETS in EVERYTHING THEY WEAR, I'm not sure why this happens, but it has at least twice.ArkieDukie wrote: ↑June 1st, 2019, 7:06 amNo more lock picking lately. The Rev needs a new vehicle that has a smart key that can stay in his pocket while he opens his trunk. Or his doors, or starts his car! I can do these functions with Hyundai Blue Link from my cell phone.lawgrad91 wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2019, 9:18 amThe Rev LG, my intelligent but ADHD-afflicted spouse, has been known to put his keys in the trunk of a vehicle when unloading his grocery buggy, and then shutting the vehicle trunk with the keys still inside. He managed to lock the keys in the Mini that had the smart key. But it's a good idea nonetheless.OZZIE4DUKE wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2019, 12:26 pmThe Rev needs a new vehicle that has a smart key that can stay in his pocket while he opens his trunk. My new grill cover! It’s a heavy vinyl, not flimsy at all. They have them at Lowe’s for $30 if you’re interested.

You could order it on line and have them ship it to you! Or delivered to your local store if you have one.

Yes, they are available on line. Unfortunately, I don't own a grill of the size that the cover will fit.

If you look at the picture I posted, you’ll notice I need to get a bigger grill too! Not gonna happen.YmoBeThere wrote: ↑June 20th, 2019, 8:24 amYes, they are available on line. Unfortunately, I don't own a grill of the size that the cover will fit.

Re: LTE 2.0
My nephew and I rearranged the living and dining room furniture on Thursday. My entertainment center now mostly covers (and looks good against) the orange accent wall in what was once the dining room. My job for the day will be returning all my breakable items to their new home and also hanging some pictures.
The next challenge will be coming up with a good configuration for the former living room. It’s a long room with a fireplace at one end and the entry on the other. Overall, the living/dining area is L-shaped. The living room is now on the skinnier leg of the L, mainly because it has the wall that works best for my entertainment center. The fireplace is behind what is now the living room. Trying to decide which side gets the conversation area (and my digital piano) and which side gets the dining room table. My current thought is that the table should be in front of the fireplace, behind the sofa, and the new conversation area should be in front of the entry. Thoughts?
