Go on Ymo, I double-dog dare you to score 99 points or less in one week. I managed to pull that one off last week. 8-}
I gave it a shot, 114 was as close as I could get this time.

Lap 42 of 188 at Talladega: BIG NEWS... Truex blows an engine! CAUTION
Truex will probably not make it into the next round of the Chase. What a shame!!
All the Joe Gibbs Racing folks are wanting to know why the engine failed early on.
About 15 laps earlier, Logano left the pits with the jack still attached! He came back and served a penalty. Hamlin had a speeding penalty on pit road.

43 laps to go... BIG NEWS... CAUTION
Kes blows an engine. He may be out of the Chase!

He led the most laps, and had picked up debris, causing a rise in his auto temperature. He had just gotten in cleaned off, and two laps later, the engine blows.

Everyone into the pits!! Biffle gets the Lucky Dog! An amazing recovery for Biffle, who earlier had crashed with Mears and J. Earnhardt, but he somehow avoided major crash damage.

The magic roulette wheel came up Logano today, followed by Scott, Hamlin, KuBu, and Stenhouse.
Drivers who do not advance to the next phase of the Chase: Chase Elliott, Truex, Kes, Dillon.
Hamlin beat KuBu to the wire by 2 feet. Two fewer feet and Dillon would have made it.

Job security is a many-splendored thing....

Vibes for speedy recoveries for those injured by this stupidity.

Also, I can't imagine anyone was taken to Lake Norman for treatment, unless people were already flying to Lake Norman and decided to get checked out. The hospitals in Greensboro and Winston Salem and Roanoke (even Duke) are way closer and equipped for trauma. :9f:

Some folks just don't think of anyone but themselves. What a shame! Sounds like no one has life threatening injuries and that's a good thing. Prayers for all :ymhug:

Update: http://www.martinsvillebulletin.com/new ... 005b2.html

So far the only charge is reckless driving, but one of the troopers in charge of the matter came by this morning. :9f:
