NASCAR 2016

I was watching the race but had to stop due to inclement weather...watching a friend's dog who spends most of their time outside(sleeps inside and is allowed inside when family is home). Torrential downpour and I didn't want her to be outside for it. But it was nice to be able to see some of it so far.

Uh oh... racing at the Monster Mile, and early on a MAJOR shakeup:
1) Harvick early gets a blown trackbar mount and blown tire. He is in the garage, but may eventually come back. 55 laps in, already 24 laps down.
2) Larson has found himself down 3 laps, due to a mechanical issue and a pit road penalty.
NOT a good start!

And at lap 65, JamieMac is reporting a vibration. Wonder who will not make it to the next round of the Chase!

Lap 170/400: JMac is now down a cylinder!
He'll have to go to the garage, as he is 11mph slower than everyone.
Meanwhile Harvick is back on the track, down 44 laps. Meanwhile, Blaney is in last place, down 68 laps.
Larson is in 30th, down 3 laps.

What did Chip Gnassi Racing do to its cars?

Lap 193/400: CAUTION: JMac's engine blows up.
He's out!
Oh well... I chose him, so that sucks. He'll finish 40th.
Ymo and Lawgrad chose Larson: he's 4 laps down in 30th.
Ymo chose Harvick: he's effectively in 38th (once he passes JMac), 44 laps down.
Looks like Iowa has this race in the bag!
