I need to buy a violin.

Post by Ima Facultiwyfe » August 1st, 2016, 1:20 pm

Long story. I don't play the violin. I don't know ANYthing about violins. Nobody in the family does. Don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a violin but want it to be a decent violin. Probably a used one. Suggestions?

My grandson Zeke played the violin in school orchestra last year and will be playing it again this year. My daughter went to the local music store, recommended by the school, and got one on a rent to own deal. It is cheaper to buy one straight away but rent to own is built in insurance in case the kid plays one year and quits. So my recommendation is to check out a local music store which caters to schools.

Ask my friend Jennifer Cook Creadick at Chapel Hill violins to help you.

She'll know where to direct you.

Also, you just need to meet Jennifer. She's a doll!

Thanks to CathyCA my violin search was a quick success and it was pure joy to deliver it to it's new and deserving owner. Bless your heart, Cath.

I am so happy! :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

I just KNEW that Jen could hook you up. She is such a lovely person. I've known her since the 8th grade. Her late husband was a Duke grad.
