What did I miss?
Emerging from a month of work/home hell...back on line and trying to catch up!
So did I miss anything good?? (other than Wilson's research had no bikinis)

Re: What did I miss?
Oh the list is long. Here are a few things to start you off:
Shamm is horny
Bostondevil beat Wilson at scrabble
The CTN Beach babes drunk dialed several members of CTN
Ben63 is going to Pitt
CellR is looking at colleges
Shamm is horny
I am the shortest member of CTN and Lavabe is the tallest
Captmojo removed a black snake from the side of his house and deposited it about 6 miles from his house.
Captmojo got his job back. We're still celebrating.
Some of us can get drunk just reading about liquor.
Did I mention, Shamm is horny?
Welcome back!!! I missed you, as I'm sure others on the board did as well.

Re: What did I miss?
Of course Georgia remembered you! It takes much longer than that for a dog to forget...I am not sure they ever do. Ever now and again Dylan's breeder will come to an agility trial. He lived with Sondi (and the rest of his litter) until he was 8 weeks old. I can tell by his behavior when Sondi enters the building (a building with 2 100' x 100' agility rings, 200-300 hundred people and 600 dogs) he picks her voice or her scent out and goes bonkers until she says hello to him.
I'm sorry I missed the beach...next year right? BeachBabes2.0??? We'll post pictures on Wilson's thread (since he'll be back in SC next summer)
Auditors and state/federal regulators have ridden off into the sunset (finally) no more company expected at the homestead in the near future
I should be able to return to my regularly scheduled life.

Re: What did I miss?
Hey, Windsor. Welcome back! Definitely missed you. I was wondering what happened to you.
I took over the post of Queen PW for about a week while you were gone, then DD forced me out of office and took back over. ;)
Now, he's the again.
My coup was short-lived.

Umm, to be fair, it was the First Mate who caught Squiggles.with the wire coat-hanger now re-adjusted to hook the beast and try a sliding out maneuver, the Mate was wearing the gloves, said serpent was pulled out in the open. I had one of these useless trigger squeeze grabber thingies and vainly attempted to secure the animal. It's escape efforts found it crawling away between tha washer and dryer. The Mate, again the one with the gloves on, grabbed Squiggles by the tail and forcefully pulled it out of it's escape route. Stepping gingerly and backward out the door, onto the deck, the critter was dumped into a large black plastic trash bag and the top was quickly tied shut.

Re: What did I miss?
Let me get this straight...you needed gloves and coat hanger for a BLACK SNAKE??
Several years ago I was mowing the yard and almost hit a small black snake with mower...he scooted under the grill to make his escape...I fetched him (barehanded mind you) out from under the grill and carried him 'round front to my porch (the area under the porch is a creepy bug condo!) I let him go under the porch. The bug population took a nose dive...he got very big (we'd see him sunning himself from time to time)...worked out for everyone
Black snakes are great. I'd encourage black snakes not remove them!

Re: What did I miss?
In this case, the black snake was trying to get to baby wrens in a birdhouse/nest on Captmojo's porch.windsor wrote:Oh that so totally wasn't the smiley I meant to use! I wanted the heart one! Re: What did I miss?
Oh yeah!
The Wrens have left the nest.
The birdhouse was moved afterward, to a much safer location.
As for the other part, did I mention it was dark and I had been consuming alcoholic beverages all evening?
Well, if I didn't...I won't now.

Re: What did I miss?
Oh!!! and the coat hanger part.
There is a separation in the wall behind the water heater. Squiggles had found it and thought it would be cool to crawl in there and rest awhile. He could only go in but so far due to cross braces in the wall. Said coat hanger had to come to use to persuade Squiggy to make an exit from the wall, which prompted him to curl up underneath the water heater burner unit. With no body parts within reach, to the gloved nor the naked hand, the coat hanger was again utilized to great effect for bringing the creature to exposure.
We just laughed and laughed.
Ahh.
