Welcome Duke Fans to BRUNCHGATE 2.0!.

Yep, another 12:30 kick-off means we're coming at you with another brunch-style tailgate. I know that the early kick-off, at least this week, suits some of our member's needs and it should be an absolutely gorgeous day! So let's run with it (and ignore the similarity of the last Tailgate's menu) and cheer Duke on to another victory and...A BOWL BERTH!

Again, it will be helpful if you can guesstimate your arrival time if you plan to attend.

WRAL has the forecast for Saturday- 25C (77F) and clear. Be sure to bring sunscreen.

Chipslate (+7ish): TigerDevil and I will be there with greenbacks, green-beer and a couple of bacon packs for the masses. We'll arrive around 9-9:15, and will have at least 2 other couples attending and maybe 1 or 2 more all who will donate accordingly.

I am giving my tickets and parking pass to my friend, Beth, from New Hampshire and her friend. It'll be Beth plus one. I suggested that they try to get there by 10 and bring money.

Bob Green +3 (Flora, Janice and Zeke) will arrive at 9:15 - 9:30. We will bring some breakfast pastries and $$ for the cookie jar.

Allen and Sam at this point (no Dan and Maureen due to other obligations). We should arrive around 10:00 and will bring cash.

On Saturday we were flying home from CA and I was listening to the Duke-GA Tech game over the plane's wifi. The lovely Mrs. Murray took one of my ear buds to listen in - about 20 seconds later Duke scored. She yelled "YES!" loud enough that the 20 people closest to us on the flight all turned to look. Quite a turn around from the non-fan that we practically had to drag to a (single) game last year.

Ozzie and TalkLady (2). We plan to arrive about 9:30. Cash plus a pumpkin bread made by TL. I'll also stop and get a jug of coffee, probably from Dunkin Donuts. I forgot about that 2 weeks ago - I heard whoever said "there's no coffee. Someone usually brings it". That someone was usually me.

We will have a party of 5 (Art and Debbie, plus friends Joel and Patsy, plus Kaitlyn's boyfriend Andrew). Plan to arive before the Devil Walk. Will bring a bottle of bubbly and OJ for mimosas, plus 50 clams for the tip jar.

Cheermom +18 so far, including 4 cheer families and 1 football family. Still waiting to hear from at least one more cheer family and a soccer family.

Cheermom +2 will arrive at about 9am and bring some type of egg dish that does not have sausage or bacon, smoked salmon and bagels, green salad, and requisite $$.
Most of the guest families will arrive in time for the team walk and will fill the jar with the requisite $$.

Joy and I will attend with $$. Claire and David John may join us late. They know the drill if they show up in time to consume/imbibe. No comestibles (NC State Fair or home prepared) this time as we're headed out to Winston-Salem after the game with a cooler full of goodies for our son's 30th Hoppy Beerthday party.

Add 3+ more to the guest list. Fraternity brother Snatch is coming to the game plus another Phi Psi and his family (Jim Bruyette, wife Phyllis, and kids maybe, they'd be adults by now I think). Y'all remember Snatch - he used my ticket to the carolina game two years ago and also came to a tailgate last year. His real name is Al Sawyers, but you can call him Snatch. Everyone else does! At least we used to........

They'll be bringing cash to add to the kitty.

Dpslaw + 4. In addition to Tom, I am bringing the fellow who planned to come with me the day my wallet was stolen. He's bringing his daughter and her friend. They will be attending their first college football game, so let's make them feel at home!
